Dolphin Echolocation

Echolocation is what Dolphins use to communicate and to find food.

Dolphins make a sound that travels quickly through water. this sound is bounced back and the information tells the dolphin how close and how big a fish is. It's believed that the whistling sounds dolphins are known to make also are part of echolocation. They are able to pass air through the blowhole. If you take a balloon, partially blow it up, and then slowly let air out, that is similar to the same results they get.

The giant Saguaro Cactus stands upright and grows "arms" as it gets older. Saguaro cacti can grow to be 52 feet. Mature specimens are estimated to be up to 250 years old.
